Getting married at Paardenburg

At Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, in Amstelveen - North Holland

Paardenburg has everything for your wedding in one location. We have different rooms and therefore always offer an attractive setting for every type of weather and group size.

The classic building, located on the Amstel River, dates from 1702 and is located in a rural area, 10 minutes outside Amsterdam. Behind the brasserie is the historic courtyard with an attractive garden room that is ideally suited for your wedding day. On the first floor we have several separate rooms for dinner or as a ‘break out room’.

In case of disappointing weather, for a smaller group or a wedding out of season, we do not hold the wedding ceremony in the garden but in our very authentic Braakensieck Room in the restaurant. This room dates from 1889 and has a very good atmosphere with its original paintings.

We are very driven and experienced in the detailed organization of your wedding day.

Getting married in the garden

Adjacent to the Garden Room is the well-maintained backyard with large terrace. The characteristic centuries-old trees and pavers, beautiful hedges and attractive round outdoor bar complete this wedding location.

A large part of the terrace is covered with a stretch tent. This ensures intimacy and the opportunity to get married outside and in the garden.

From ceremony and dinner to the party and enjoying it together. You can enjoy the space in the garden and garden hall while you are provided with all conveniences.

The spacious Garden Hall is located in the backyard. A beautiful hall with its own entrance, bar, kitchen and toilets. The garden hall is suitable for dinner, a fantastic wedding party with DJ or live music and even the wedding ceremony if the weather is bad. The high ridge is equipped with attractive lighting but can also be used for your own decoration. Decorating the garden room can be done in all kinds of ways, such as hanging plants, cloths or lanterns, for example. We also have everything available audiovisually for background music, speeches, live music and a fantastic wedding party. This room has a capacity of up to 250 guests and can also be reduced in size to make the atmosphere pleasant and cozy for smaller groups.

For smaller parties or parts of the wedding with a smaller group, Paardenburg has very beautiful and comfortable rooms in the restaurant. The Braakensiekzaal is ideally suited for a beautiful wedding ceremony, reception or dinner. We also have three attractive rooms on the first floor with a view over the backyard and the Amstel River.

Paardenburg is located directly on the Amstel River and is very suitable for a wedding on the waterside. A beautiful boat trip along waving reed collars with farms, country houses and mills in the Amstelland behind them. Arrival and departure by salon boat or a boat trip with the guests to Amsterdam. It’s all possible at Paardenburg. We have our own sloops and also warm contacts with saloon boat owners. Our cruises can be arranged including catering and drinks.
